Stand Designs must adhere to many rules as required by the Organiser and Venue, not to mention Health & Safety, Fire and Local Authority regulations. Stands must be safe to use as well as eye-catching.

Designs have to be approved by the Organiser prior to Buildup, and Complex structures (ie. 4m+ stands or features, multi-storey stands, stairs, seating areas, platforms over 600mm, any structure that requires cross-bracing, etc) usually also have to be cross-checked with the Venue/Local Authority. esp events inspect all stand designs on behalf of the Organiser pre-show, and liaise with the Exhibitor and/or their stand designers to ensure compliance.


With over fifteen years’ experience of stand drawing approvals esp events have built up a wide-ranging knowledge base of technical requirements of the major exhibition Venues and Local Authorities. An intimate knowledge of the Building Regulations and other relevant legislation including the DDA (Disability Discrimination Act) and the Work at Height Regs, puts esp events in the best position to advise Organisers, Venues, Exhibitors and Contractors in this highly specialised area.

The esp events system allows for accurate progress/status reports to be generated on demand for our Clients. Alternatively a regular update schedule can be arranged. On appointment, we will receive and collate plans of all the stands, structures and features at your show. The plans are then checked and requests for further clarification is sent direct to the Exhibitor or their designers. Our aim is to provide total peace of mind for the Organiser and to achieve full approval for the show prior to Buildup.
